Face-mount mid post in satin black powder-coated aluminium, 1500mm long. Designed for the Premium Perf balustrade range where the post fixes to the side of a slab, deck edge or stair stringer rather than sitting on top - ideal for top-of-stair landings, deck edges and balcony perimeters. Heavy-duty 50 x 50mm aluminium profile in Alloy 6106 T6 with 4mm wall thickness post and 150 x 150mm welded-on plate (10mm thick) with 4 x Ø13mm diameter fixing holes. Easily cut down on site. IMPORTANT: per catalogue page 8, for engineering compliance the maximum post height is 1350mm - the 1500mm length is supplied to allow cut-down to suit the install but must not exceed 1350mm above the fixing point. Screw flutes in the post extrusion allow non-weld fixing of the undercapping rail. Note: the 13mm fixing holes suit M12 fixings (use GS-DN-4PK-B M12 dome nuts with GS115LAG, GS160LAG, GS093LAG lag screws or GS120ROD/GS1000ROD threaded rod and chemical anchor SOUD-CA1400). M12 fixings cannot be used on standard base-plated posts (which have 11mm holes and require M10). Install per AS/NZS 1170.0 and AS/NZS 1170.1 and NCC 2022 balustrade design actions and barrier requirements; pairs with Premium Perf perf infill panel (PP-BAL-INFILL-B) and frame kit (PP-BAL-FRAMEKIT-B). For end-of-run posts use the LEFT/RIGHT pair (AR-1500-FMLR-B-2PK). Colour-matched to the Premium Perf matt black range; for Monument finish use AR-1500-FMID-MN.
