PIK gate installation kit in satin black powder-coated aluminium, supplied as a complete kit containing: 2 x 40 x 40mm powder-coated aluminium extrusion profiles 1257mm long, 2 x top caps, 2 x domical covers, 6 x ST5.5 x 10 SS410 self-tapping screws and 1 x 5mm diameter drill bit. Required when installing a PIK gate (PIK-GATE-0975-1200-B) between two PIK panels: the 40 x 40mm aluminium profiles sleeve over the end picket of the panel on each side of the opening to create hinge and latch posts - the round 32mm picket alone can't carry hinge/latch fixings reliably. Installation: leave appropriate gap, sleeve domical covers then 40 x 40mm profile over the adjacent final pickets, fix off the profiles to the pickets through the drilled holes (1 hole on outer face, 2 holes on inner face at bottom of post), fit top caps, then install the gate with self-closing hinges and a top-pull latch. Recommended daylight opening 1010mm = 21mm hinge gap + 975 gate + 14mm latch gap. Same methodology applies for grouted-in pickets - cut the 40 x 40mm profiles to required height. Pool fence compliant to AS 1926.1 when paired with compliant hinges and latch. Colour-matched to black PIK panels and gates (use PIK-GATEKIT-W for white).
