BARR Pool Fencing

BARR is the premium aluminium pool fence in the range. Each panel is pre-fabricated — horizontal rails with fabricated pickets, welded into a complete panel that fixes to slimline posts. Because the panels come made-up and welded rather than assembled on site from loose slats, they stay true: no bowing, no uneven gaps, no slats to align by eye. Clean and modern, sitting above tubular and flat-top but below glass on price — aluminium, but architectural.

Like any panel fence, the planning is where jobs go wrong: count panels off the run length and the corners, gate and a slope change everything, with a gap over 100mm failing inspection. The calculator does that for you — give it your runs, corners, gate and ground and it returns the exact panel, post and gate count, including raked panels where the ground falls, so you order once and it goes together compliant.

• The panels. Pre-fabricated aluminium — horizontal rails with fabricated pickets, welded into a complete panel. They arrive made-up and fix between posts; picket spacing is set at the factory to be compliant, so there's nothing to gap out by hand.
• The posts. Slimline aluminium, set into concrete or surface-mounted. The slim profile is part of the BARR look; the calculator works out positions and count.
• Slopes. Raked panels step the fence down where the ground falls while keeping the top line right — the calculator works out where you need them.
• The gate. A matching gate panel with self-closing, self-latching hardware — included, sized to your opening.
• The finish. Powder-coated aluminium, black and white most popular. Doesn't rust or rot.

• Architectural, not budget. The welded-panel profile reads as a designed fence, not a hardware-store one, a genuine step up from flat-top tubular.
• Welded panels stay true. Made-up panels have no loose slats to bow in the heat or drift out of line — the common gripe with site-assembled slat fences.
• It lasts outside. Powder-coated aluminium holds its colour and shrugs off sun, salt and weather.
• DIY, planned right. Pre-made panels fix to posts; the calculator gets the count and layout right so it passes first time.
• It carries through to your balcony. BARR runs as a balustrade too, so you can match a pool fence to a deck or balcony in the same system.

Pool fencing answers to AS 1926.1. What touches a BARR fence:

• Height. At least 1200mm, ground to top.
• Gaps. Nothing that passes a 100mm sphere — between pickets or under the panel. BARR's picket spacing is factory-set to meet this; the calculator keeps the layout (corners, gate, posts) compliant too.
• Non-climbable zone. A 900mm clear zone with nothing climbable.
• Gate. Self-closing, self-latching, opening away from the pool.
