Visor inline aluminium joiner 400 x 40 x 1.2mm in mill, fits on top of the friction insert at undercapping-plate joins for run rigidity.

Visor aluminium inline joiner in mill finish, 400 x 40 x 1.2mm, with 4 x 6.5mm-diameter holes. Used at the join between two adjacent undercapping plates (VIS-4000-PLATE-B/W/M or VIS-4942-PLATE-R-B/W/M) to provide rigidity between adjacent panels and prevent the run flexing at the join. Fits on top of the friction insert (VIS-3050-INS-2PK) and is installed as a final step - just before snapping on the rectangular handrail (VIS-6100-HRAIL-B/W/M). To fit, remove the four 14g x 50mm panhead screws from the top of the adjacent panels (two from each panel) and refit them through the inline joiner; drill 7mm holes if the end baluster spacings have been altered from standard. The handrail then spans the join location for additional rigidity. Install per the Visor fabrication guide Appendix 2 (Option 1); install per AS/NZS 1170, AS/NZS 1664.1 and NCC Volume 2. Note: the face-mount and deck-mount bases themselves do NOT require this joiner - simply position end-to-end.
